To join an ad-hoc meeting:
- Leader:
- When the initiator clicks Start Meeting, a Place Call With prompt is displayed.
- Select the preferred device to join the audio call, or
- Select Get a call back to receive a call-back on your selected device automatically. Answer the incoming call to join the audio, or
- Select Cancel if you do not want to join the audio portion of the conference.

If the Sharing mode is enabled when creating the meeting and the initiator selects or cancels the audio device from the Place Call With prompt, the MiCollab AWV Web Client opens. The initiator is automatically logged on to the conference as the leader.
- When the initiator clicks Start Meeting, a Place Call With prompt is displayed.
- Participants:
- The participants receives an inbox notification on the Client. Click Join and select the preferred audio device in the Place Call With prompt to join the MiCollab Audio, Web and Video Conference.
- The participants will also receive an e-mail invitation with the meeting details. Click the conference URL from the e-mail invitation to open the conference Join webpage in the browser. Enter your name and click Join to join the conference using the MiCollab AWV Web Client. Alternatively, click Join via Windows Client to use the MiCollab AWV Desktop Client.
Note: The conference Join webpage opens in the default system browser.
Place Call With prompt
The list of devices under Place Call With depends on the selected device in the Call Using field. Go to Settings > Call Settings:
- Select Prompt to display all the available devices to place the audio call, or
- Select SoftPhone, DeskPhone, or Mobile to display only the selected device.
Inbox notification
If you are using MiCollab Client 8.1 and above, you will get real-time meeting invitation (inbox notification) on the Client. Click Join to join the MiCollab Audio, Web and Video Conference.

- after two hours of the meeting start time.
- within 15 minutes if all the participants are logged out of MiCollab AWV Web Client. This is valid even if only one participant joins the conference and logs out.
